This Privacy Policy explains how the Sri Ram Devi Mandir website and Android app (shreeramdevimandir.org) handle information. Our platform is primarily for freely accessing devotional content.

All spiritual content — puja, mantra, bhajan, deities, Panchang, temple information — can be browsed freely and anonymously, without creating an account or providing personal information. Login is never required to browse.

• Stored on your device only (local storage): your language preference and, even without logging in, any content you mark as a favorite.

• Optional account (only if you register): your name, email, and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — only as a secure bcrypt hash.

• Practice activity (only when signed in): records such as pujas you complete or japa counts, used to show your progress.

• Security logs: on failed sign-in attempts we temporarily store the IP address and the email used, solely to rate-limit and prevent abuse; this is cleared after a successful login.

• Voluntary Seva: if you record a seva intention, we store the details you enter (optional name, phone, email, message, amount). No online payment is processed and no card/bank details are collected.

Push notifications are not currently enabled. If enabled later via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), we will first request your permission; you may decline and continue using the app. When enabled, we would send at most one notification per day containing that day's Panchang. FCM uses an anonymous device token that we do not link to your identity.

Information is used only to operate the service — to manage your account, favorites and practice progress, to maintain security, and (if enabled) to deliver notifications.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Content is delivered securely over HTTPS from our own servers. We use only standard infrastructure (database hosting) needed to run the service. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking.

You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data yourself from the app's "Account" page — this removes your account (name, email), favorites, practice activity, and any Seva records linked to your account. Your session ends immediately after deletion and you return to anonymous use. Anonymous or device-only data not linked to an account (e.g., a locally saved language preference) does not reside on our server.

This is general-audience devotional content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date above will change.
